[[en]]I'm a black artist from St. Louis, Missouri, and I create illustrations that harness the whimsical nature of the human spirit. Most of my work exists in a fantasy space or with the supernatural, sometimes defying the physics of the "real world". I work mainly through digital, watercolor, marker, crayon, and ink to highlight the soul of my piece. I develop paintings of otherworldly festivals under the stars, fashion editorials featuring mythical creatures, and digital depictions of gods eating noodles at a diner. My illustrative and concept work includes chroma harmony and high saturation, while my comic work is mostly in black and white, Japanese-manga style. To me, art is communication, and I create to talk to others about my life, dreams, uncertainties, and protests. By modeling realities a bit more fanciful than our own, I build pieces that invite the audience to take shelter in.[[ja]]うちはミズーリ州セントルイス出身の黒人アーティストで、人間の精神の気まぐれを利用したイラストレーションを制作している。うちの作品のほとんどは、ファンタジー空間や超自然的なものの中に存在し、時には「現実世界」の物理学に逆らうこともある。デジタル、水彩、マーカー、クレヨン、インクを使って、作品の魂を浮き彫りにするような作品を制作しています。星空の下で行われる異世界のお祭りや、神話上の生き物をフィーチャーしたファッション社説、ダイナーでラーメンを食べる神々のデジタル描写などを描いています。うちのイラストレーションやコンセプト作品には円満な色や高彩度が含まれますが、コミック作品のほとんどはモノクロの日本漫画式です。うちにとってアートとはコミュニケーションであり、自分の人生、夢、不安、抗議について他者に語りかけるために創作している。私たちの現実よりも少し空想的な現実をモデル化することで、観客を避難所に誘うような作品を作る。
